Candy Dot
for the braid you redo on the bus
The big, puffy one. One scrunchie in 100% mulberry silk charmeuse.
About 9 cm across, lying flat · 22 momme silk
Antique White is resting for now. Leave your email and we'll write the day it's back. Nothing else, ever.
No piece is ever tried on, sent back and sent out again, so the one that reaches you has never been in anyone else's hair. That's why we can't take returns. If yours arrives damaged, write to us within 48 hours with a short video of the damage (preferred) or a few clear photos, and a new one is on its way. The small print

The small print
The lab tested a sample of this silk in Wildpetal's colour. Candy Pop is cut from the same silk; Antique White and Hot Pink are other colours, so the dye results speak for the colour tested. Reports TC/ST/CEO/282/2026-27 and TC/LC/ST/1008/2026-27, dated 21 September 2026, are on our Lab reports page.

Silk likes to be treated like hair, because it nearly is.
Free shipping across India on orders over ₹499. Once it leaves us: about 2 working days to the big metros, 4 working days to most other cities, and 6 working days everywhere else in India.
Outside India, 4–5 working days, tracked. Delivery is free over $50 in the US, £45 in the UK, €50 in Europe and US$50 elsewhere; below that it's $20, £16, €18 or US$20. If your country charges import duty, it's collected on delivery, not by us.
Each piece travels in a paper Moosi pouch. Keep it, gift it, regift it; the pouch doesn't mind.
A small honest note — because each scrunchie touches your hair and skin, we can't accept returns or exchanges, worn or unworn. Hair things are personal, and re-circulating them isn't fair to the next Creature.
Please pick mindfully. If your piece arrives damaged in transit, write to us at moosi.care@gmail.com within 48 hours, with a short video of the damage (preferred) or a few clear photos, and we'll send a fresh one.
Thoughtful fabric, a shape that suits your routine, and care beyond the first wear.

Wide, soft gathers spread the hold, so your hair stays put without the tight squeeze of a thin band. Dermatologists warn that styles pulled tight, day after day, strain hair at the roots.
See how it works ↓
Silk is one long, smooth filament, so at the end of the day it slides out of your hair instead of catching on the way. Slip it over your wrist first and feel the difference.

Hair and silk sit close together on the static scale; polyester sits far away. That’s why a polyester “satin” tie can leave a dry-day ponytail full of flyaways, and silk mostly doesn’t.

A Government of India lab tested a sample of this silk: no banned azo dyes, no detectable formaldehyde and a near-neutral pH of 7.31. It sits on your wrist all day, so we checked.

Each silk fibre is a rounded triangle that bends light softly instead of bouncing it straight back. So even a hairstyle done in a hurry looks finished.
What we don’t claim: that silk stops hair fall, mends damaged hair or suits every skin. We’d rather show you only what we can back up.
Shampoo, conditioner, serum, the odd salon day. All that care, and then a hair tie holds the same few strands for eight, ten, twelve hours. That spot is where hair takes the strain. Here's what changes when the tie is silk.
A thin band squeezes one narrow ring of hair. Candy Pop's soft gathers hold over a much wider band, so each strand takes less of the pinch, and your bun still stays put.
Rub two materials together and charge jumps between them. The further apart they sit on this scale, the bigger the jump. Hair and silk are near neighbours; polyester sits far away, which is how a polyester “satin” tie fills a dry-day ponytail with flyaways.
The elastic is wrapped all the way round in silk, so there's no bare rubber to catch. At night it slides out instead of tugging your hair along with it.
The American Academy of Dermatology suggests wearing hair loosely pulled back, with covered bands made for styling hair. A silk scrunchie is exactly that kind of band. Their tips ↗
More frictionscales lifted and chipped
Less frictionscales lying flat
Every strand is wrapped in overlapping scales called the cuticle. Lying flat, they keep hair smooth and catch the light. Rubbed and tugged day after day, they lift and chip, and lifted scales snag, tangle and break more easily.
No hair tie repairs damage that’s already there. Silk just takes one rough thing off the list.

Momme (mm) is how silk fabric is weighed, not its thickness in millimetres.
Silk isn’t round. The silkworm spins each thread as two strands with rounded, triangle-like sides, a bit like tiny prisms. Light slips in, bends and comes back soft and pearly, so the sheen shifts as you move your head.
Scrunchies usually come by the dozen: a pack of polyester “satin” for less than one Candy Pop costs. We know. Candy Pop is one piece of real mulberry silk, gathered by hand. It isn't a smaller pack. It's a different thing that happens to be the same shape.
~ one you keep, over twelve you lose.
Candy Pop is cut from the same mulberry silk charmeuse as Wildpetal. We sent that silk to the Textiles Committee's laboratory, Govt. of India, and had it tested for what matters to skin.
Satin is a weave, not a material, and most satin scrunchies are polyester. Ours is charmeuse, the satin weave in real mulberry silk: glossy on one face, matte on the other. Silk is a protein fibre, like your hair, so it slides instead of gripping. Sleep in it, if you like.

What it adds up to: nothing harmful found, a near-neutral pH, and colour that stays in the silk. That's why we call it skin-friendly.
Grades run from 1 to 5, and 5 is the best a fabric can score. The lab tested a sample of this silk in Wildpetal's colour. Antique White and Hot Pink are the same silk in other colours, so the dye results speak for the colour tested. Reports TC/ST/CEO/282/2026-27 and TC/LC/ST/1008/2026-27, both dated 21 September 2026. Read both reports, and what each result means.
Candy Pop and Candy Dot are cut from the same silk, in the same two colours. Only the size changes, and with it, what each one is good at.
Big and puffy. For buns, high and low ponytails, thick or curly hair, and days you want it seen. One loop for thick hair, two for fine.
Thin and light. For braid ends, low ponies, fine hair and wrists. Loop it two or three times, and it all but disappears.
Big enough to hold a heavy bun, soft enough to forget it's there. When your hair comes down, it waits on your wrist.
Every Candy Pop is gathered by hand by rural women artisans in India, in small batches. When you take one home, you're carrying a little piece of someone's morning.
Candy Pop is new in the forest, so this corner is still quiet. Every word that lands here will come from someone who bought one.
Only Creatures who've bought Candy Pop can write here — that's how this page stays honest. We read every review before it goes up, to check it's real, never to make it nicer. The lukewarm ones go up too.

Because it's a different thing. Most packs are polyester “satin”, made on a line by the dozen. Candy Pop is one piece of 100% mulberry satin silk, gathered by hand, cut from the same silk we had lab-tested. One you keep, rather than twelve you lose.
Yes — 100% mulberry silk charmeuse. Charmeuse is a satin weave: glossy on one face, matte on the other. Satin is a weave, not a material, and most satin scrunchies are polyester. Ours is spun by silkworms.
Yes. The silk was tested in September 2026 by the Regional Laboratory of the Textiles Committee in Kolkata, part of the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India. No banned azo dyes were found, formaldehyde was not detectable, the pH was 7.31 (close to neutral), and the colour held against sweat (5 of 5) and rubbing (5 dry, 4–5 wet). That's why we call it skin-friendly.
Two honest notes: it's a lab test of the fabric, not a test on skin, and the sample was the silk in Wildpetal's colour. Candy Pop is cut from the same silk; Antique White and Hot Pink are other colours, so the dye results speak for the colour tested. Both reports are on our Lab reports page.
Candy Pop is the big, puffy one: buns, high ponies, thick or curly hair. One loop for thick hair, two for fine. Candy Dot is the thin one: braid ends, low ponies, fine hair and wrists. Same silk, same two colours. Plenty of Creatures keep one of each.

Hand wash in cool water with a mild soap — no soaking, no wringing. Press the water out in a towel and dry it flat in the shade; sun fades silk.

No, and here's the honest reason: it's something that lives in your hair, and passing it on to the next Creature isn't fair to her. So please pick mindfully.
If yours arrives damaged, write to us at moosi.care@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery, with a short video of the damage (preferred) or a few clear photos, and we'll send a fresh one.
