No piece is ever tried on, sent back and sent out again, so the one that reaches you has never been in anyone else's hair. That's why we can't take returns. If yours arrives damaged, write to us within 48 hours with a short video of the damage (preferred) or a few clear photos, and a new one is on its way. The small print
Elastic is the first thing to give up in a scrunchie. When Cloudy's does, send it back to the forest: we fit a fresh one by hand and post it home to you, for as long as the piece exists. How it works
Cloudy is white chikankari in a cotton-polyester blend, gathered onto a wide, soft elastic and closed into a soft, full ring. Chikankari is the embroidery Lucknow is famous for: white thread worked into white cloth in small motifs and tiny eyelets, so the pattern shows only when light falls across it.
We source the chikankari cloth. Our artisans cut it, gather it and make it into Cloudy, one at a time.
Free shipping across India on orders over ₹499. Once it leaves us: about 2 working days to the big metros, 4 working days to most other cities, and 6 working days everywhere else in India. You can check your own pincode above.
Each piece travels in a paper Moosi pouch. Keep it, gift it, or let the pouch adopt it.
Treat it like something someone made by hand, because someone did.
Final sale, for hygiene. No piece is ever tried on, sent back and sent out again, so the one that reaches you has never been in anyone else's hair. That's why we can't take returns or exchanges, worn or unworn. Please pick mindfully.
If yours arrives damaged, defective or isn't what you ordered, write to us at moosi.care@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery, with a short video of the damage (preferred) or a few clear photos, and we'll put it right. The refund policy has the details.
Written down plainly, so the price makes as much sense to you as it does to us. Beside it, for honesty's sake: what a cheap scrunchie usually is.

run a finger over the photo: the pattern shows where the light leans in
Chikankari is one of India's best-loved embroidery traditions, and Lucknow is its home. White thread on white cloth, worked into small flowers, vines and pin-prick eyelets, so the pattern never shouts. It waits for the light to lean in.
We source this chikankari cloth, a cotton-polyester blend, and our artisans do the rest: they cut it, gather it and close it round a soft elastic, one Cloudy at a time. White goes with every outfit and every mood, which is rather the point of it.
~ the embroidery is the cloth's. the cloud is ours.
There is no line. One artisan cuts the chikankari cloth, gathers it round the elastic and closes the ring, then sets it down finished — somewhere between eighteen and twenty-five minutes later. Which is why no two gather quite the same way, and why we make them in small batches, on purpose.
White chikankari in a cotton-polyester blend, chosen for its small motifs and tiny eyelets.
One artisan cuts a single length — enough for one Cloudy, nothing more.
The cloth is gathered evenly round a wide, soft elastic.
The ring is closed and the gathers eased out, so it sits full all the way round.
Checked, folded into a paper pouch. Then it travels to you, gently.
Two loops and it holds. The wide elastic spreads the grip, so it never has to bite.
Loop it once more than you think. The gathered cloth grips where satin slides, so nothing has to be pulled tight.
No metal, no snag. It gathers curls without flattening the pattern out of them.
A half-up knot, a baby ponytail, or a wrist day. All of these count.
Loop it low in a pony, spiral it twice round your wrist, or let it sit on a bun like its own little cloud. White goes with everything, quietly, the way you like things.

Every Cloudy is one person's twenty-odd minutes. The circle sets its own hours, and each of them makes a piece from first cut to last stitch — no production line, no half-finished ring handed along. When you take one home, you're carrying a little piece of someone's morning.
We can't let you try it on, so here is the next best thing: the whole of Cloudy in numbers, laid flat and stretched.
About 12 cm across, gathered full the whole way round.
About 18 cm at a gentle pull. One loop for a thick bun, two or three for a fine ponytail.
Cloudy comes in one size. The loops are the adjustment, and a better one than a size chart.
~ if it holds your Monday bun, it's the right size.
laid flat, about 12 cm across ~
Cloudy is new in the forest, so this corner is still quiet. Every word that lands here will come from someone who bought one.
Only Creatures who've bought Cloudy can write here — that's how this page stays honest. We read every review before it goes up, to check it's real, never to make it nicer. The lukewarm ones go up too.
Use the email you ordered with. We'll send you a one-time code — no password.

Short answers, true ones. If yours isn't here, write to us.
Chikankari is the embroidery Lucknow is famous for: white thread worked into white cloth in small flowers, vines and tiny eyelets, so the pattern only shows when the light leans in close. We source the chikankari cloth, a cotton-polyester blend, and our artisans make it into Cloudy.
Rural women artisans make every Cloudy, one at a time and start to finish, in about 18 to 25 minutes. The chikankari cloth itself is sourced; we don't do the embroidery.
About 12 cm across laid flat, stretching to about 18 cm. One size: loop it once for a thick bun, twice or three times for a fine ponytail.
It shouldn't. The core is a wide, soft elastic, generous on thick hair and gentle on fine, so it holds without biting.
Yes. Loop it low in a pony, spiral it twice around your wrist, or let it sit on a bun like its own little cloud.
Hand wash in cool water with a mild soap. Press the water out in a towel, reshape it while it's damp and dry it flat, out of direct sun. No bleach, no tumble dryer.
Very close, not identical. Each one is gathered by hand, so the motifs fall in a slightly different place on every Cloudy. We keep the photos as honest as we can.
