The Gingham Scrunchie — a teal-green polyester check, edged all the way round in cream cotton lace.
The check you half-remember from a school uniform or a winter picnic blanket, grown up and given a lace edge. It holds a thick bun without pulling. for bad hair meetings
No piece is ever tried on, sent back and sent out again, so the one that reaches you has never been in anyone else's hair. That's why we can't take returns. If yours arrives damaged, write to us within 48 hours with a short video of the damage (preferred) or a few clear photos, and a new one is on its way. The small print
Elastic is the first thing to give up in a scrunchie. When Rainfern's does, send it back to the forest: we fit a fresh one by hand and post it home to you, for as long as the piece exists. How it works
Rainfern is a teal-green polyester check, gathered onto a wide, soft elastic and edged all the way round in cream cotton lace. Soft enough for every day, with just enough frill to feel like an occasion.
Free shipping across India on orders over ₹499. Once it leaves us: about 2 working days to the big metros, 4 working days to most other cities, and 6 working days everywhere else in India. You can check your own pincode above.
Each piece travels in a paper Moosi pouch. Keep it, gift it, or let the pouch adopt it.
Treat it like something someone made by hand, because someone did.
Final sale, for hygiene. No piece is ever tried on, sent back and sent out again, so the one that reaches you has never been in anyone else's hair. That's why we can't take returns or exchanges, worn or unworn. Please pick mindfully.
If yours arrives damaged, defective or isn't what you ordered, write to us at moosi.care@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery, with a short video of the damage (preferred) or a few clear photos, and we'll put it right. The refund policy has the details.
Written down plainly, so the price makes as much sense to you as it does to us. Beside it, for honesty's sake: what a cheap scrunchie usually is.

It starts with a teal-green check, the kind you half-remember from a school uniform or a winter picnic blanket. Look closely and paler lines run through the green, small and even, like rain on a window.
Then it's edged all the way round in cream cotton lace, so the most ordinary pattern in the cupboard turns up dressed for something. Soft, easy to wash, and happy to be worn every single day.
~ borrowed memory, made new.
There is no line. One artisan cuts the teal check, gathers it round the elastic and runs the lace all the way round the edge, then sets it down finished — somewhere between eighteen and twenty-five minutes later. Which is why the lace never lands in quite the same place twice, and why we make them in small batches, on purpose.
Teal-green polyester check, cut to one length — enough for one Rainfern, nothing more.
The check is gathered evenly round a wide, soft elastic.
Cream cotton lace, stitched along the edge the whole way round.
The ring is closed and the gathers eased out, so it sits full all the way round.
Checked, folded into a paper pouch. Then it travels to you, gently.
Two loops and it holds. The wide elastic spreads the grip, so it never has to bite.
Loop it once more than you think. The gathered check grips where satin slides, so nothing has to be pulled tight.
No metal, no snag. It gathers curls without flattening the pattern out of them.
A half-up knot, a baby ponytail, or a wrist day. All of these count.
Loop it in a low pony, tie it high over your curls, or spiral it twice round your wrist as the loudest-softest thing you own. There are no rules in the forest.

Every Rainfern is one person's twenty-odd minutes. The circle sets its own hours, and each of them makes a piece from first cut to last stitch — no production line, no half-finished ring handed along. When you take one home, you're carrying a little piece of someone's morning.
We can't let you try it on, so here is the next best thing: the whole of Rainfern in numbers, laid flat and stretched.
About 12 cm across, gathered full and edged in lace the whole way round.
About 18 cm at a gentle pull. One loop for a thick bun, two or three for a fine ponytail.
Rainfern comes in one size. The loops are the adjustment, and a better one than a size chart.
~ if it holds your Monday bun, it's the right size.
laid flat, about 12 cm across ~

The packaging in itself is something to hold on to, and the scrunchie is soft, extendable and fits perfectly for different hair types.
Will definitely buy more of these!
So pretty and good packaging. I love it .
Beautiful scrunchie designed by Moosi. Loved it

A teal-green polyester check, edged all the way round in cream cotton lace, on a wide, soft elastic.
Rural women artisans make every Rainfern by hand, one at a time and start to finish, in about 18 to 25 minutes. That's why there are never many of them at once.
About 12 cm across laid flat, stretching to about 18 cm. One size: loop it once for a thick bun, twice or three times for a fine ponytail.
It shouldn't. The core is a wide, soft elastic, generous enough for a thick bun and gentle enough for a fine ponytail. No pull, no kink.
Yes. Spiral it twice around your wrist when your hair comes down, or loop it on a bag handle. There are no rules in the forest.
Hand wash in cool water with a mild soap. Press the water out in a towel, reshape it while it's damp and dry it flat, out of direct sun. No bleach, no tumble dryer, and never an iron straight onto the lace.
Very close, not identical. Each one is made by hand, so the lace never falls in quite the same place twice. We keep the photos as honest as we can.

Send it back and we fit a new elastic, free, for as long as the piece exists. The way to us is yours, the way home is on us, and it takes about a week once it reaches us. How the elastic promise works.
